Energy & Utility Assistance
Please note: This program is no longer offered through HFC.
Residents seeking income-based heating, energy, or medically necessary cooling assistance can now apply directly through the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs.
Â
Previously, this program helped Camden and Gloucester County households facing financial hardship, including those struggling to keep up with utility bills or experiencing shut-off notices. Assistance was funded through the Low Income Heating and Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and the Universal Service Fund (USF).
Â
As we transition this service to the state’s centralized system, we remain committed to helping families stay safe, supported, and connected to the resources they need. If you need help navigating the new application process, HFC is here to guide you.
